The Frugal Chef is a site dedicated to affordable, nutritious, easy and quick meals. None of our food comes from cans or boxes. Everything is made from scratch.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
As times get harder and money gets tighter, I noticed that one of the main topics everywhere is the high price of food. I decided I wanted to share my knowledge in the kitchen and show people that you can eat a vast variety of delicious, healthy food without breaking the bank.

1998 - "How to Start, Own & Operate a Deli" - www.howtostartadeli.com (used to be pastryparrot.com)
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I figured that a good name would be one that reflects what I do - cook frugally.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My website is a collection of frugal recipes but most of them are video so that my readers can watch me preparing the food I am sharing with them. I intend to have the largest cooking video library available.
This website also offers solutions for the everyday challenge of deciding what to cook via menus, grocery lists and lots of frugal, cooking tips.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely! I am constantly adding content and will continue doing so for a long time.
